Mid 19th century walnut marble top buffet featuring burl and figured walnut veneer panels with hand carved detailing throughout. The design reflects strong Black Forest influence, including the carved fish motif and architectural crest.
The original finish is still present and has been refreshed and detail cleaned to preserve its character. There are signs of wear consistent with age.
The marble top is intact and pairs well with the walnut tone. The mirror has been replaced at some point and is now a two way mirror. From the front it appears traditional, and from the back it is see through, as shown in the photos.
A substantial antique with strong presence that works well as a dining room buffet or statement piece. Message me with any questions.
Base 55w x 41h x 22d
Mirror 49h x 14d
