Dating to America’s Gilded Age, this walnut hall tree reflects a time when receiving visitors came with more formality. The entrance hall served as a stopping place between the outdoors and the rest of the home.
Eight turned pegs provided hanging space, while the side holders accommodated umbrellas and walking sticks, with cast iron trays below to catch rainwater. A small glove drawer sits beneath the marble top, and the central mirror offered a final check before heading out.
This piece retains its original finish and has wear consistent with age, including surface marks.
