Authentic WWII U.S. Naval Ensign Collection | Mare Island & Valley Forge
This listing offers a limited collection of authentic World War II U.S. Naval Ensigns that I recently acquired. Once this collection has been sold, there will be no restocks or replacements.
Before purchasing, please select which variation you would like to receive. I currently have original ensigns available from both Mare Island Naval Shipyard and Valley Forge Flag Company. Mare Island flags were manufactured by the historic U.S. Navy Yard in Vallejo, California with the year 44 stamped on them, while the Valley Forge flags were produced under U.S. government contract for wartime naval service stamped Ensign. Both are authentic WWII era naval ensigns with their own historical significance.
Every flag is an original historical artifact, and no two are exactly alike. Because these flags were manufactured, used, and preserved individually, each one displays its own unique signs of age and service. Buyers should expect natural variations in fading, staining, fraying, minor holes, and other honest wear consistent with authentic wartime use. Overall, structurally, the flags are fully intact, so you will receive the flag in it’s full size. These characteristics are not considered defects but are part of each flag's individual history and authenticity.
Every flag retains its original rope and hardware and remains suitable for respectful display, collecting, or long-term preservation. Because these are original historical artifacts, slight variations in exact measurements, color, wear, and overall appearance should be expected. Please expect authentic wear to be present in your flag. Photos do not pick up on every imperfection.

Flags will be shipped via UPS or Fedex with a signature required. They can also be delivered directly by us on our regular furniture shipping routes. The will also come with an acid free storage box for safe keeping.
